The Rapture

The Rapture of the believers is when Christ himself will descend from heaven in a flash. He will come so fast that when any human witnessing the event blinks his or her eyes, it will be over. The believers that are alive at that time will experience a dramatic change of their body. So, too, will the ones who are dead. In addition, the bodies of the dead will be resurrected...no matter what has happened to it at the time of death or afterwards. Then both groups of people--the dead and those who are alive--will be lifted into the air and whisked into heaven...into the presence of the Tri-un God.

This will happen in the future, and only God knows when this marvelous event will occur. It is because we will see our loved ones again, that we do not need to grieve for those who have died before us. Unlike the unbelievers who lose relatives, friends and family members to eternal death, we will see our relatives again...if both you and the deceased individual has put their trust and faith in God. The result is two born again Christians who will be looking forward to meeting again in the future.

The Bible states that "The Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the Archangel, and with the Trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds." Then we shall be with the Lord, the other saints and the billions of angels for the rest of eternity.

Faith in God: Hope for the Future

You may ask how a loving God could send anyone to Hell. But Jesus will not be the one who sends you toward this fate. This path will be yours when you stubbornly refuse to believe what the Bible says.

Jesus came seeking to save those who were lost. Adam and Eve's sin in the Garden of Eden resulted in all of their descendants entering this world with a sinful nature. The only way to get rid of this nature is to get a new nature which only Jesus Christ can give.

The way of escape has already been planned and is now being offered to us fully wrapped under the title of "salvation." This free gift can be accepted at any time since Christ never ceases to try to call you away from your hopeless struggles to keep your head above the drowning waters of life. Turn your life over to him and even if your ship turns over, you'll still be able to smile at the storm.

Jesus will not hesitate to be your guide. He'll do more than provide for your needs. The God in heaven is a loving Father to whom all humans can come. He's a God that you can trust to help you through times of despair, loneliness and feelings of failure. As a matter of fact, He died as the perfect sacrifice in order that the penalty for your sin would be paid. Without this great sacrifice, it would've been impossible for us to face a holy God. And once we've chosen to be saved, the Holy Spirit enters our hearts in order to help us live the Christian life.
