The deliverance of the oppressed people, the Israelites out of Egypt is a type of redemption from bondage. This book contain the story of Moses as a leader, the confrontation between Moses, and Pharaoh, the burning bush, the ten plagues against Egypt, the parting of the red sea, and when God gave the ten commandment to the Israelites. God called one Man to lead His people, his name is Moses. After the people settled in Egypt, at the invitation of Abraham’s great-grandson, Joseph, whom his brother’s sold as slave because of there jealousy to words him. But God blessed him, and after many years and much pain. he became second in command in Egypt.
The people were fruitful and multiplied then Joseph died, and a new king took over, because of fear of the growing nation, the king set a taskmaster over them. exodus 2: 24, and God remembered His covenant to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. God appeared to Moses, in a flame of fire, and spoke to him out of the burning bush, 3:6, God said I AM the God of thy father, I have seen the affliction of my people, and have come down to deliver them. And Moses said who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and bring forth the children of Israel. And God said I will be with you. And Moses said what is your name? that I should say to them. And God said I AM THAT I AM. Thus shall thou say, I AM hath sent you.
And God sent ten plagues to break Pharaoh’s stubborn will, after the last plague, he let them go. God parted the red sea and let them walk on dry ground. Pharaoh’s horse men, and horses perish in the water when they try to follow and return the people to the king. Moses stretch his rod and the water came back. God Gave the people the ten commandment. as a nation, Exodus 16: 7, after there much murmurings, which cause Moses to sin, when he struck the rock, the second time. Christ was that rock.He was struck once for us. and Moses was to speak to the rock this time. on there Journey to the promised Land,God led them by day, in a pillar cloud, and by night in a pillar of fire. God all ways remember His promise, you can depend on him.
