Joseph was taken away from his family, home, friends and country
Joseph was sold as a slave to Potiphar, in Egypt; but God was with him. and he was preferred by Potiphar. And his master saw that the Lord was with him, so Joseph found favor in his sight, and serve him. And he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had was put under his authority. And the Lord blessed the Egyptain's house for Joseph sake, and the blessing of the Lord was with him. [God used the situation with his brothers to bless him, and to build his character, and help him to rose above suffering. God's presence was with Joseph at all times.
Genesis 39: Potiphar's wife showed that her heart was fully set to do evil. God's Children needs help against temptation because the enemy of our soul is there, to strip us of our blessings, and dignity. But the power of God is greater, than our enemies. But they cannot shut us out from communion with God, or from the blessings of salvation. Joseph was wonderfully blessed, even as a slave he was prosperous. It is Christ who give us the strength, the wisdom, and the power that we need, to live in this world.
Genesis 39:7, And it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife cast her longing eyes on Joseph, and said to him, lie with me. But Joseph refused and said, to her, how can I do this great wickedness and sin against God? she took no heed to what he was saying, but day after day, she kept asking. When Joseph went in the house to do his work; and no one else was in side, she caught him by his garment, saying, lie with me.But Joseph ran outside, and left his garment in her hand.Joseph was falsely accused of a crime that he did not commit. his master believed his wife; and he was cast into prison.[ But God was there him]
