Hezekiah trusted in the true God and he was proven right, Hezekiah also cleanse the temple
Hezekiah became king when he was twenty five years old, and he reigned in Judah twenty nine years. His mother's name was Abijah the daughter of Zechariah. And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all what David had done. In the first year of his reign, in the first month, he removed the high places and broke down the alter of the false god; and open the doors of the house of the Lord and repaired them:Then he brought in the priest and the Levites,
Hezekiah's father king Ahaz, he was twenty years old when he began to reign; he took the pattern from the idols temple for a new alter in God's temple and command the priest to make a new alter; then he brought the bronze alter from before the front of the temple and place it between the two new alter, and Ahaz abused and embezzled the temple furniture. All this he did for the king of Assyria sake, he allowed sin and evil in, and put contempt upon the Sabbath. and that was down hill, God permit some things to go on for a while, when dealing with God if you choose to turn away from Him , the price you pay at times is great, but God is always in charge. after the death of Ahaz
Hezekiah his son reign as king of Judah.
Sennacherib came upon Judah and try the faith of Hezekiah, but like David, he trust the God of heaven; 2 kings 18:i3, In the fourteenth year of king Hezekiah, Sennacherib king of Assyria came up against all the fortified cites of Judah and took them.] This contest was against God, and he trust in the true and living God to help him. With trust and confidence in God, faith gain the victory, and the Lord took over, in humble submission, believing hope and prayer, this was God opportunity to take over. Hezekiah received a letter from Sennacherib and read it; Hezekiah gave it to God. even though the message was troubling Hezekiah's faith rest in God, and his heart was in the right place.
Hezekiah went up to the house of the Lord, and he spread the letter before the Lord, Then Hezekiah prayed before the Lord and said, O Lord God, you are God, you alone, you have made heaven and earth. Incline your ear, O Lord, and hear; open your eyes; and hear the words of Sennacherib which he had sent to reproach the living God. Truly Lord the kings of Assyria have laid waste the nations and there Lands, O Lord God save us from his hand. Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, God has answered his prayer, 2 kings 19: 35-37, In the night the angel of the Lord smote the camp of the Assyrians fourscore and five thousand solders: were all dead. And Sennacherib two sons killed him as he worship his idols and escaped, and Esar-haddon his son reign in stead.
